Nafanua Leadership Fellows Program Overview

The Nafanua Leadership Fellows Program empowers participants, particularly Samoan women and youth, to become community leaders and changemakers. The program equips fellows to address community challenges while honoring and preserving Samoan traditions by integrating cultural preservation, leadership development, and project management skills.

Program Objectives

By the end of the program, participants will:

  • Develop leadership and advocacy skills rooted in Samoan cultural values.
  • Identify and address community gaps through asset-based and sustainable approaches.
  • Build and manage impactful community projects aligned with the Nafanua Foundation’s priority areas in American Samoa in May 2025.
  • Strengthen their capacity for public speaking, outreach, and partnership building.
  • Collaborate with mentors and peers to create innovative solutions for Samoan communities.

Join us for an evening honoring the inaugural Nafanua Leadership Fellows as they share what they’ve learned and present their upcoming community projects in American Samoa. Their work focuses on mental health, wellness, autism awareness, and mentorship. Come connect, celebrate, and support Pasifika leadership in action. This fundraiser will help get them to American Samoa. Faafetai tele lava for your support!
